Horst Hermann Bayer

Horst Bayer, a trained travel professional, has been working in the travel industry since the early 1980s. From 1999 to 2008 he was responsible for the business travel program for Siemens in North and Latin America and from 2009 to 2015 for Hitachi Data Systems in EMEA. In 2016 he founded TravelHorst – Sustainable Business Travel Consulting to work towards a solution to the global climate crisis in the business travel sector. In 2018 he was trained as a Climate Reality Leader in Berlin by Al Gore (former Vice President of the USA). Horst has a certificate in sustainable tourism and was and is a member of various committees of business travel organizations such as VDR, GBTA, GSTC, Baum e.V, and CAMEXA; always with a focus on promoting sustainability in the business travel sector. In 2024 he founded the TravelHorst Academy with the motto “Talking about problems creates problems, talking about solutions creates solutions!”
